Minnesota is home to one of the world’s largest Somali populations.  The Somali Museum in Minneapolis, with over 700 artifacts, preserves and celebrates the culture for the benefit of all Minnesotans.  Come see the traveling display of some of the artifacts in the collection.  Sip a cup of traditional Somali tea as museum staff present a slideshow and provide a rich cultural learning experience.

  • Cost: There is no charge for this program.  Funding is provided by the Blue Earth County Library and the State Legacy Fund.  Attendees are welcome to bring their own brown bag lunch.  Coffee will be provided.  Call the VACC at (507) 386-5586 by 8/16 for a reservation.
