MANKATO CLINIC PHYSICIAN TALKS

HEALTHCARE TOPICS IMPORTANT TO OLDER ADULTS

  • Friday, May 18
  • 2:30 – 4 pm
  • Stephanie Putzier, Extended Care Team, Presenter

Americans are living longer than ever before, with nearly one-quarter of baby boomers expected to live past age 90.  In fact, the U.S. 65+ age group is growing faster than the country’s population – a first for this demographic.  Older adults and their caregivers need reliable health information to prevent and manage disease, promote their health, and follow public health recommendations.  Dr. Putzier will share information, updates, and important “need to know” information about healthcare services for older adults, preventing and managing diseases, the importance of vaccines and chronic care management, and how partnering with your healthcare provider in your care can significantly improve your health outcomes.

  • Cost: No charge for members; $5 for non-members.  Call the VACC at (507) 386-5586 by 5/17 to sign up.
