COMMUNITY CONVERSATION: HENNA AND ITS USES

  • Tuesday, September 14
  • 2 – 3:30 pm
  • Cecil Fountain, VINE Diversity Program Manager

Henna is the common name for lawsonia inermis, a plant used as a natural dye throughout history and the world.  Most commonly it was a key part of religious and ceremonial celebrations, such as marking a bride’s passage into womanhood for her wedding.  It’s also a spiritual offering for luck or adorns the body for burial.  Come learn more!
