Henna is the common name for lawsonia inermis, a plant used as a natural dye throughout history and the world. Most commonly it was a key part of religious and ceremonial celebrations, such as marking a bride’s passage into womanhood for her wedding. It’s also a spiritual offering for luck or adorns the body for burial. Come learn more!
