BLUE EARTH COUNTY POOR FARM GOES TO THE ARTS
- Thursday, March 18
- 2 – 3:30 pm
- Brian Frink, artist and owner
The Blue Earth County Poor Farm was built in 1877 south of town on what is now County Road 16/Stoltzman Road. An addition in 1911 brought its resident population up to 44. In 1955, it was sold and became the Oak Grove Retirement home. In 1987, it became a private residence, and Brian Frink and Wilbur Neushwander-Frink have renovated it and turned the basement into a gallery/performance space for Rural America Contemporary Art (RACA).
